Local Heat Tortilla Chips are handmade by Portland's Hot Mama Salsa for Craft & Kitchen, the private label of Oregon's Market of Choice. Hot Mama's chefs created a secret spice blend using Peppered Earth Chile Powders.

"The chefs at Hot Mama wanted bold, sweet and spicy chile powders so they could make the freshest, best-tasting blend," said Turner Smith of Peppered Earth. "I'm not allowed to tell you which chile powders they used — that's a secret — but I can tell you they've made a chip that is hard to stop eating once you open up the bag."
